Omar Hernandez and Jose Linares-Hernandez, both 20, of Adelphi, along with a 15-year-old juvenile, robbed various  independent taxi service drivers in Langley Park between Dec. 12, 2022, and Jan. 12, county police said.

Hernandez and Linares-Hernandez robbed five drivers while the teen robbed a driver at knifepoint on Jan. 12, authorities said. The teen's case is considered separate from the men, police said. The men were being held without bond.

Additionally, detectives continue to investigate several other robberies of independent taxi drivers in which suspects contact the taxi service provider asking for a ride — only to rob the driver at gun or knifepoint and flee, authorities said.
